Bishop Jeremiah Visits Zion Episcopal Church

On July 5, Zion Episcopal Church was honored to welcome the Rt. Rev. Jeremiah Williamson, the 10th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, for a special Sunday service and celebration of Holy Baptism.

During the service, Bishop Jeremiah baptized Sloane Elaine Rimmer, granddaughter of Susan and David Kirwan. The occasion brought together family, friends, and members of the Zion congregation in a joyful celebration of Sloane’s entry into the household of faith.

Bishop Jeremiah’s visit to Zion marked the conclusion of his North Country Residency, making the service a particularly meaningful occasion for the parish. His presence offered the congregation an opportunity to worship together, celebrate baptism, and extend a warm Zion welcome to their diocesan bishop.

Following the service, members of the congregation gathered in the undercroft for refreshments and fellowship with Bishop Jeremiah. Before departing, he was presented with a gallon of locally produced maple syrup—a fitting North Country gift to remember his visit to Zion.
